City Recorder - $88,980 - $113,904 Annually  The City of Roseburg, Oregon is currently recruiting for a City Recorder.  Located in southwestern Oregon, Roseburg, (pop. 22,820), is easily accessible from Interstate 5 and is 67 miles south of Eugene. Roseburg is the county seat and largest city in Douglas County. The City of Roseburg utilizes the Mayor/Council form of government and is a full-service city operating with 163.6 FTEs and a 2017-2018 budget of more than $64 million, including a general fund of $28.4 million. The City Manager Department includes the City Manager, City Recorder, Human Resources Director and two staff assistants. Working under the direction of the City Manager, the City Recorder is responsible for management and retention of all city records, leases, contracts and agreements, legal and public notices, elections, business registrations, franchise monitoring and negotiations, special permits and licenses, distribution and handling of all bids, assistance in property management and liens, processes ordinances and resolutions and serves as Clerk of the City Council. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field, or Master Municipal Clerk certification through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks is required. Candidates must have 4 years of experience as a City Recorder, Deputy Chief Recorder, or Administrative Assistant in city government.
