The City of Portland is seeking a highly motivated and responsible person to fill the position of Streets Maintenance Technician. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, storm drains, and perform vector control. This is accomplished by assessing worksite(s) for damage or needed repairs, completing maintenance and repairs by operating heavy equipment and machinery such as a backhoe, excavator, dump truck, roller, forklift, and following safety standards to ensure safe working conditions at all times.

May work overtime and perform other duties as required.

This position is subject to the City of Portland’s Background Investigation and Drug Testing Policy. The City verifies all information prior to extending an offer of employment.  New hires are required to provide proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States per Federal law.
