What's The Job?

Working as a Maintenance Worker -Meter Reader, you can expect to join a crew of six in a variety of manual skilled work maintaining a water distribution system.  This includes but is not limited to performing various tasks involving meter reading activities: locating and reading water meters on established routes for billing purposes; entering water consumption data from meters into handheld computerized meter reading device; recording data and confirms accuracy of readings; replacing water meters, meter boxes, lids, or other components; sets new meters; locks/unlocks meters; digs around meter boxes and removes dirt/debris. This position may also require responding to emergencies during work hours and after hour callouts.

Minimum Requirements

Here is what you must have to be considered for the position of Maintenance Worker:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
