Performs duties necessary to support the Public Works Department to ensure the proper construction, repair, and maintenance of streets, roadways, fishing piers, boat docks, sidewalks, driveways, walking paths, curbs, gutters, storm drainage systems, parks, rights-of-way, and facilities. Duties include but are not limited to: setting forms; pouring, shoveling, raking, finishing concrete and asphalt; and pothole repairs (hot or cold patch). Responsible for appropriate signage and/or traffic markers, and other traffic control and/or safety measures.

Performs duties to construct, repair, and maintain inlets, water feature structures, and storm drainage flumes/structures. Duties include, but are not limited to: installation, repair, and maintenance of storm pipes, inlets, baffle boxes, outfalls, etc.

Assists with the proper maintenance of City grounds, retention ponds, rights-of-way, and common areas of City owned property and/or facilities, providing a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.  Duties include, but are not limited to: mowing, edging, trash/garbage/debris removal, pre-storm preparation, post-storm clean up, painting, lighting, etc. Responsible for safely using and proper care and maintenance of all tools and equipment necessary to complete projects, assignments, and/or tasks.

Perform duties necessary to ensure the proper planning and tearing down of city events. Responsible for working, monitoring and cleaning up after city events, as directed.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver license. 

Must pass all post offer pre-employment processes and/or procedures, to include but not limited to Drug Screen, Physical Examination, and applicable Background Checks.
