The City of Aledo, Texas is seeking an innovative and motivated Public Works Director to lead the maintenance staff and improve efficiencies and service delivery. 

The City of Aledo Public Works Department encompasses functions including engineering, street maintenance, facility maintenance, street signs, water/wastewater operations, and capital projects. The Public Works Director will also  work in coordination  with  the City’s planning staff.  As a key member of the City’s leadership team, the Public Works Director will serve as the principal advisor to the City on public works programs, capital projects, engineering, and planning issues.  

Bachelor’s degree, Professional Engineer license preferred. Five years experience in municipal public works supervisory position or relevant combination of experience and training, and three years experience in water and wastewater management is required.  Salary up to $130,000 DOQ.  Applications accepted until March 31, 2023.
