The purpose of this job within the organization is to prepare and conduct training programs to develop employee skills and knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare and conduct training programs for employees to develop identified skills and knowledge
Formulate teaching outline and program content based on course objective
Select and prepare training materials and presentation aids
Administer evaluation forms to obtain feedback on course
Maintain employee records related to training
Assist in collecting and analyzing data for training needs assessment
Perform related duties as directed
Additional Duties:
Develops and manages project plans, tasks and timelines.
Develops testing and evaluation procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs. Tracks and reports on learning activities using MS Excel and Word.
Uses professional resources such as journals and courses to enhance job related knowledge and skills.
Performs related work as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in education, communications or related field. Requires two to four years of experience in teaching or training; or any combination of relevant education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
Adult education theory
Ability to:
Communicate effectively orally and in writing;
Make effective training presentations;
Operate computer and software.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds;
Frequently stand and walk;
Occasionally kneel;
Frequently push and pull objects;
Frequently rotate upper trunk to the left or right while sitting or standing;
Frequently reach above, at or below shoulder height;
Frequently handle objects.
