Description:

- Supervises, trains, and assigns work to aquatic employees, ensures proper policies are followed, ensures work and safety standards are maintained, and work schedules are met;
- Supervises the aquatic facility under direction from the Aquatics Specialist or Aquatics Manager;
- Maintains records as required by the Parks and Recreation Department, City of Cedar Park, County, and State;
- Assists or leads staff training sessions;
- Maintains correct water chemistry and insures health standards where applicable;
- Establishes and maintains positive public relations;
- Receives admission fees and accounts for all money received;
- Enforces facility rules and regulations;
- Assist the Aquatics Specialist and Aquatics Manager in the planning, developing, scheduling, and promoting of all aquatic activities;
- Makes decisions concerning park closing during adverse conditions, and fill in for other positions if needed, and
- Performs other related duties that may be required.
Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses
Successful candidates will possess:
- One (1) year of lifeguard experience;
- Current certification in Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training or the ability to obtain certification;
- Must be 16 years of age by December 1, 2022;
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; and
- Other related tasks as assigned.
One (1) year of aquatic facility management experience is preferred.
