Lifeguard

Monitor activities and ensure the safety of patrons at aquatic facilities. No specific educational requirement.  Swimming proficiency is required and must be demonstrated.  Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age at the time of hire for temporary positions; first consideration will be given to those that are eighteen (18) years of age or older.  (Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to be hired for full-time, or part-time, regular positions in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.)
