BRIEF DESCRIPTION:To assist the Environmental Coordinator, Public Works Director, and other City departments and divisions in administering and enforcing the environmental affairs of the city in accordance with City Council policy, state and federal law; aids in management of environmental compliance activities for the city in an effective and efficient manner.          

This is a responsible position which requires considerable independent judgement. Duties include management of specific projects; gathering information and writing reports; maintaining files and records; and performing clerical functions. Makes effective decisions, exercising considerable initiative and independence.  Coordinates the efforts of the city as it relates to environmental issues, procedures, processes, reporting requirements, planning, and compliance with federal, state, and local legislation governing the environment with applicable City Departments/Department Directors.
