Wastewater Maintenance Mechanic I

Performs maintenance, repairs, and operations of City Wastewater Plant Systems in accordance with state EPA and federal OSHA regulations.

Equivalent to a high school diploma PLUS three years of experience in wastewater system operations and maintenance. A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.

Valid driver's license is required; current NM Level II Wastewater Certification is required; selected candidate must obtain NM Level Ill Wastewater Certification within one year from date of hire. Position requires an acceptable driving record in accordance with City of Las Cruces policies.
