PAY AND BENEFITS

 

Annual Pay Range: $113,744.01 - $144,482.96

 

Hourly Pay Range: $54.684619 - $69.462962

 

Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Clackamas Water Environment Services (WES) is searching for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to bring planned and designed projects across the finish line. If selected for this position, you will serve as a lead for overseeing the construction phase of capital improvement projects. You will also coordinate the work of assigned personnel, schedule project activities, and oversee the work of contractors and contracted services.

 

The Senior Civil Engineer will perform a variety of professional engineering work and project management, with a focus on constructing capital improvement projects. Additionally, the Senior Civil Engineer will participate in the development of bid specifications for Requests for Proposals or Qualifications (RFPs or RFQs), solicit, review, and recommend selection of bids, pre-qualify and recommend engineers and contractors for projects, and review project proposals and qualifications of contractors. Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*

 

• Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. E.) in the State of Oregon (Note: Proof of registration will be required prior to the final offer of employment is extended to the selected candidate. Registration in another state where registration was acquired by examination will temporarily fulfill this requirement, provided Oregon registration is obtained within one (1) year of hire.)

• A minimum of two (2) years of related experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position

• Experience working as a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in civil and/or mechanical engineering

• Experience related to design and construction of wastewater conveyance system, pumping and/or treatment related capital improvement projects or other similar work

• Experience with project management, including reviewing and developing project proposals, bids, and RFPs/RFQs

• Driving is required for County business on a regular basis or to accomplish work. Clackamas Water Environment Services produces clean water and protects water quality for more than 190,000 people living and working in Clackamas County. We operate and maintain five resource recovery facilities, 23 pumping stations and hundreds of miles of pipes.
