Job Description

As a Senior IT Data Analyst will apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve system issues. This position will handle the day-to-day systems administration of Public Safety applications and work with the user community to utilize all system functionality. The candidate will help develop/migrate current paper processes into digital workflows to help automate repetitive tasks for normal business operations.


Essential Duties

  • Handle the day-to-day systems administration of Public Safety applications 

  • Work with the user community to utilize all system functionality 

  • Aid in technical leadership as related to new applications, from strategic decision-making to project planning and execution

  • Develop/migrate current paper documents into digital workflows to help automate repetitive tasks for normal business operations

Other Job Requirements/Information

  • This job requires a public safety background check to include motor vehicle histories, criminal histories, credit check, and fingerprinting.
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval. 

Grade
The grade for this position is C45(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
 
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
 
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field AND

  • Five or more years of progressively responsible, related systems administration

    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Candidates are required to obtain one or more of the following certifications: GCIC Security and Integrity certification

  • GCIC Inquiry level workbook certification within six months of hire

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Must be able to work independently with customers, gather requirements and provide analytical or software solutions to a variety of management levels and organizational departments

  • Experienced in the development and maintenance of reporting dashboards, preferably Power BI or ESRI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years minimum experience developing and implementing test plans, supporting software applications, and providing end-user support

  • Two-year minimum using SQL Management Studio. SSRS or SSIS is a plus
    Python for data science and analytical applications

  • Skilled in reporting and data visualization, Microsoft Power Apps a plus

  • Experience creating or maintaining web applications using Visual Studio

  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and or Cloud fundamentals

  • Experience in a large government environment where management of life-critical systems exists
