Duties include coordinating activities within the City’s easement, providing technical expertise, and troubleshooting the raw water pumping function at Lake Chapman; inspecting construction work and monitoring activities within the easement; reviewing construction plans for conformance with easement restrictions; providing technical expertise on SCADA systems; troubleshooting difficulties and handling a wide variety of special projects related to utility equipment and systems; and preparing reports on pumpage, flow totals, readings, energy consumption, equipment run times, and special projects as assigned. This position is assigned to the Lake Chapman raw water system at the booster station located 12 miles east of McKinney, just outside of Princeton, Texas. Must be available for callback in emergency situations and be able to adhere to a maximum 90-minute emergency response time. Any combination of education, specialized training and experience equivalent to an Associates degree and three years of experience in water pumping operations. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel also required. Must currently possess a TCEQ Class B Water Distribution license and have a valid Class C Texas driver’s license. Day, evening or night shift may be required; hours may vary.
