One permanent full time position available Full salary range: $58,177.60 ‐ $73,840.00 Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am‐3:30pm
Under direction, serves as a group leader in maintaining and repairing pumps, motors, valves, gauges and general equipment in wastewater treatment processes. Coordinates information between lab, operations and sewer collections.
Associate’s degree or equivalent from an educational institution accredited by a DOE recognized accreditation body required plus three years of experience in wastewater including two years in a supervisory capacity required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Iowa DNR Grade II Wastewater Operator's license required. Iowa DNR Grade III Wastewater Operator's license required within 2 years of appointment. Must live within 17 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City, Iowa within one year of appointment to the position. Valid Iowa Class B commercial driver’s license with air brake and tank endorsement with satisfactory driving record required. Valid Iowa Class A commercial driver’s license required within 6 months of hire. This position is subject to federal drug testing requirements. A pre‐employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age per Iowa Code 92.8. Must pass criminal background check.
Supervisory experience in wastewater plant maintenance preferred. Iowa DNR Grade IV Wastewater Certification preferred.
