This is a professional and administrative position charged with the managing, planning, coordinating, and maintaining the County’s Solid Waste and Utilities Department to protect public health and comply with regulatory and environmental requirements. This position is responsible for assisting the Environmental Services Director with the capital improvement program, maintaining and evaluating various components and systems of the existing infrastructure and leading the County in the design of long term solutions for the County-wide solid waste operations and utilities systems. This position must respond to the Environmental Services Director, citizens, elected officials and County Administration. This is an Emergency Essential position that is required to respond as directed during local state of emergency.

Education and Experience

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required with a minimum of eight to ten years progressively knowledgeable and responsible position in public works operations with Five (5) years minimum experience as a supervisor.. Licenses Valid Florida Driver License. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required in the state of Florida or have a PE license in another state and have the ability to acquire it within 12 months of employment.
