Duties include responding to maintenance requests for recreations centers, aquatic facilities, park properties and other city buildings, and from rental customers and other City departments; opening and closing facility gates; and turning lights on/off for athletic games and scheduled practices. Duties may also include performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry work – troubleshooting, making repairs and assisting with remodeling projects; preparing and painting interior and exterior walls; assembling, dismantling and moving furniture and other objects; and performing light custodial work. Duties typically will require lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of mechanical maintenance experience are required. Must  have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver’s license and be able to respond to after-hours service calls concerning building maintenance emergencies. The anticipated schedule for this position will be primarily weekend hours, but may include some days and evenings.
