Description

The City of Southlake is searching for a customer focused team player who is passionate about providing world class customer service to a world class community. The Application Manager reviews, analyzes, implements and supports technology systems for the City of Southlake. Support includes developing and/or maintaining the technical infrastructure; ensuring best practice operational processes are in place; providing recommendations on improvements; providing technical analysis; and driving efficiencies through optimization and automation. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.  Maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, methodologies, practices, and procedures, and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Will act as a backup to the system administrator and network administrator.

 

Formal Education: Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: Associate's degree and five (5) years relevant experience; Bachelor's degree in IT-related field of study and three (3) years of relevant experience.
Certificates & Other Requirements

  • Experience in Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, data management technologies, Microsoft IIS, Windows Server OS, SDLC experience (preferred), ITIL V3 Foundations Certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of information technology disciplines; e.g. software applications and interfaces, production operations, quality assurance, and system management, etc.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Driver's License;
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis.
