The City of Southlake is searching for a customer focused team player who is passionate about providing world class customer service to a world class community. The purpose of this position is to manage and maintain the MS servers, computer and network security environment, Active Directory, backups, Virus software, and security patches for the City technology infrastructure.  This is accomplished by implementing and monitoring security services and protective measures, performing domain administration and group policy design and configuration, operating and monitoring the system update environment, applying and monitoring virus protection facilities, managing infrastructure and standards for Southlake data centers, ensuring IT assets are tracked and monitored for licensing and life cycle events, and implemented security and monitoring for data access controls.

Formal Education: Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience:  Three to five years of relevant experience is required.
Certificates & Other Requirements: 

• Possession of an MCSE or MCP preferred
• Virtualization experience (VMware) preferred
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Driver's License;

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
