The county seat of Boone County, and home to the renowned University of Missouri, the city is now the state’s fourth largest and fastest growing city, with a population of approximately 122,000, plus an influx of nonresident students. The FY19 budget is $431.9 million and includes 1,507 full time employees.

This fiscally savvy, business-minded individual will bring experience in a mid-to large sized city that offers an array of municipal services and be dedicated to the improvement of City services across all sectors of the population. In addition, the next City Manager will be a bridge builder who embraces collaborative partnerships and possesses the emotional intelligence necessary to effectively lead and manage a diverse, high-performing staff, and the political aptitude to anticipate and plan for issues of concern. Exceptional communication skills and a leadership presence, both within the organization and in the community, supported by tangible accomplishments, are expected.
