Grade:  209

Salary:  $47,545 - $60,861 Annually (Dependent on Qualifications)

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop criteria to manage process optimization.
  • Identify and manage future Operations and Maintenance and Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).
  • Execute process optimization criteria including writing, training, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Analyze data and work closely with staff to make process improvements.
  • Assist in the development of process control and operation reports including a material balance and data trend analysis to communicate information to key personnel that will assess the process optimization program’s progress.
  • Develop reports to evaluate methods based on data trends.
  • Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to assist process optimization.
  • Participate as part of an internal audit team to monitor regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize Maximo to manage processes.
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications 

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) of experience
  • A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
  • TCEQ Class B Surface Water License required within one (1) year
  • A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating 

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview. 

Closing Statement 

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
