Salary: $12.73 - $14.00 Hourly
$26,478.40 - $29,120.00 Annually
Job Type: Full Time
Location: College Station, Texas
Department: Municipal Court
FLSA: Non-exempt position, eligible for overtime compensation.
 

 

 
Provide daily customer service contact with general public regarding citations, complaints, and Municipal Court proceedings.
 Principal Duties:
  1. Accept payments for the collection of fines, fees, citations, and warrants.
  2. Answer questions relating to case options and court proceedings.
  3. Accept cash appearance bonds for court dates, assign court dates, issue receipts, and log required information.
  4. Receive docket citations and complaints.  Document and maintain disposition records.
  5. Compile monthly statistical reports.
  6. Process and mail final conviction notices.
  7. Open and process mail.  Draft correspondence for mail requests.
  8. Maintain and file citations and warrants.  Issue courtesy cards on past due tickets.
  9. Perform related duties as assigned.
 Qualifications:

Required:  

High School Diploma or G.E.D., and up to two (2) years customer service, clerical or administrative support experience related to the area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Possess basic level computer skills in the use of PC-based spreadsheet and word processing applications, preferably MS Excel and MS Word (test may be administered).   

Preferred:

Two (2) years customer service experience or office experience; cash handling; working knowledge of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures, Penal Code, Transportation Code, Health and Safety Code, and Alcoholic Beverage Code.
