Role: The City of Kennedale, Texas is seeking open-minded candidates to fill a Finance Director role with an interest in cutting edge ideas to better serve the public.  The successful candidate will join us in replacing a rules bound culture with a more integrative environment. The Finance Director provides fiscal stewardship of the city's finances and is a key member of the city's leadership team. The role is accountable for creating an integrative department climate that promotes partnerships, trust and relationships with others, promotes accountability, transparency, accuracy and responsiveness. Oversees and manages the accounting and finance function including cash and debt programs, capital improvement plan, investments, payroll, budget and audit and oversees utility billing, municipal court and library. The ideal candidate must utilize utilitarian decision making, must be trustworthy, able to maintain confidentiality, interested in public service and working as part of a team.
