Description | Overview The Assistant Director of Wastewater Treatment is responsible for the effective and efficient performance of the missions of the City of Corpus Christi related to the management and maintenance of the City’s wastewater treatment operations. The purpose of this position is to provide oversight and administration for wastewater treatment, manage wastewater lift stations, dispose of bio-solids, maintain storm water drainage pump stations, and direct the wastewater pre-treatment program. The Assistant Director serves in a senior leadership role to support the department Director through long term strategic planning and displaying sound judgement in department programs and services. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Certifications, Licenses of Other Requirements (Must meet one of the below requirements at time of hire. This requirement was last updated 4/29/2019): · TCEQ Class A Wastewater Treatment Operator License required at time of hire, OR · Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or Registered Professional Engineer in another state with the ability to obtain State of Texas registration within 6 months of hire Qualifications · Requires a Bachelor’s degree · Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience · A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire |
