Bullard, Texas, is a picturesque city with a small-town feel that is quite different from the urban sprawl. Just 15 minutes from Tyler and covering 3.36 square miles, the City’s friendly charm, green spaces, and comfortable pace belie the fact that Bullard, with a population of about 4,000, is one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Texas.

Bullard is a General Law City operating under a council-manager form of government. The City Council, consisting of six members (including the Mayor), is the legislative body for the City. The City seeks an innovative leader and a strong communicator with the integrity to lead their City into the future. The ideal candidate will be a highly visible, active member of the community who will be fully invested in the City’s success, the attainment of its goals, and its long-term stability and growth.

The new City Manager should hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, or a related field, or have a minimum of five years of experience in municipal administration or serving in another senior municipal management position. The City Manager will be required to reside with a Bullard address (not necessarily within the city limits) within eight months following employment.
