Salary: $12.51 per hour, Part-Time Job

The City of Southlake is searching for a customer focused team player who is passionate about providing world class customer service to a world class community. The purpose of this position is to perform work assisting in the coordination and conduct of programs and activities of various recreation services including implementing recreation and athletic programs. This is accomplished by monitoring the operations of instructors and program participants of recreational programs in joint-use and city facilities. Other duties include providing administrative and clerical support to staff members.

Essential Functions:

Demonstrates technical excellence and ensures implementation of program goals in conformance with established strategies and organizational expectations.
 

High Quality Programming: Assist in the coordination of recreation programs and activities by opening, cleaning, and securing recreational facilities, organizing materials and supplies needed for activities, monitoring program participants and instructors, supervise children in athletic and special events, meet and greet the public, and support all youth, volunteer, civic and cultural activities in which the City participates.  
Administrative Support: Provide administrative and clerical support to staff by assisting in scheduling facilities, taking reservations, collecting activity fees, and writing receipts.
 

Institutes and maintains a customer-centric work environment that provides customer and community engagement.

Understands and applies the principles of quality customer service by responding promptly to customer needs and requests. Seeks to understand customers' circumstances, problems, expectations and needs. Answers phone calls, emails, letters, and visitors in a professional, helpful manner by providing accurate and informative information with the ability to resolve problems or refer inquires to the correct contact.
Interpersonal Relationships: Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees and all levels of management to include representatives from other departments and organizations. Handles all interactions with poise, tact, and diplomacy and in a confidential manner.

Certificates & Other Requirements

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Drivers' License
