Description | The Guest Experience Coordinator will have the exciting opportunity to help shape the visitor experience and museum retail operations for the Irving Archives and Museum (IAM); and, by practicing hands-on and engaging techniques with a focus on customer service, will ensure that all guests feel welcomed and have highly positive experiences at the IAM. Duties include leading the daily operations of the museum (visitor services, ticket sales, store sales, housekeeping, safety and security); training, scheduling and supervising assigned staff; booking group tours and site rentals, and assisting with coordination of school group tours; and managing the museum store inventory. Duties also include attending and presenting material at a variety of public events, such as career fairs, festivals and school related events; and maintaining a professional presence by attending workshops and conferences relevant to the field. Duties will require serving as the manager-on-duty during weekend hours, with one weekend off per month. A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a related field; and three years of increasingly responsible customer service experience, preferably in guest services or retail management, required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills beneficial. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Applicants must submit a cover letter and résumé with application.
