Description | Utilities Maintenance Tech Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain mechanical, piping and structural system and components at the Bob Derrington Water Reclamation Plant, Water Treatment Plant and associated off-site facilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibility: Ability to work independently, with other personnel or under supervision to maintain assigned responsibilities. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High school diploma or GED required. Must possess general plant maintenance experience with mechanical components such as pumps, drive trains, bearing assemblies, chemical feed systems and equipment, piping systems and miscellaneous structural component repair. License and certification: Possess a valid Texas A-CDL Driver License or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Special Requirements: Available for 24-hour call. Safety Requirement: Position requires that City approved safety shoes be worn.
