SALARY RANGE $71, 845. 00 - $117, 251. 00 Annually
SALARY DISCLOSURE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Salary Description: Starting Salary: $71, 845. 00 Pay Grade: M45

General Description: Highly responsible professional administrative and managerial work in assisting the Assistant County Administrator (Development Services) in the implementation of all Development Services Projects. Provide intergovernmental coordination and ensure accurate and timely communication with the Board of County Commissioners, Development Services.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE/RECOVERY ACTIVITIES: All employees will be required to work before, during, or after an Emergency. During an Emergency employees may temporarily be assigned to work and perform duties outside the normal scope of their position, location and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists the Assistant County Administrator (Development Services) in the planning, organizing and direction of all activities in the Branch with an emphasis on program administration. Provides recommendations and assistance in carrying out policies, standard operational procedures, and regulations relating to the Branch. Coordinates special projects assigned. Manages the collection, analysis and presentation offsets for use in presentations and requests for information. Help drive the improvements identified from the Performance Development Department. Performs other administrative functions as directed by the Assistant County Administrator (Development Services). Assists in the development and ongoing monitoring of the Board's Strategic Plan, Business Plan, and Operational Performance Measures for the Development Services Branch. Assists in the implementation of plans and proposals approved by the Board during the Budget and Business Planning Cycle to include complex multi-department and multi-branch actions. Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
. Strong public speaking skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with consultants, the public employees, and government officials. . Ability to analyze complex and diverse issues and prioritize multiple tasks and competing demands to optimize use of staff and other resources. . Skilled in negotiations, policy implementation, project management and employee relations and the handling of detailed situations . Ability to present clear and concise reports, orally and in writing. . Proven abilities in planning, facilitation, and directing the work of teams of professionals. . Knowledge of contract and project management. . Ability to facilitate and explain conversations regarding high level knowledge of local government policies, practices, and funding decisions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid driver's license.
