The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Executive Director of our Convention & Visitors Bureau to promote and market Pearland as a destination for business and leisure travelers. The Executive Director – CVB earns a competitive salary based on experience. Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees’ dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-CVB  

As an Executive Director for Convention &Visitor Bureau for the City of Pearland, you strive to lead with service as your main focus. You are dedicated promoting the hospitality and tourism industry that generates overnight stays while endorsing Pearland tourism assets. As a member of the executive leadership team, you will partner with the Advisory Board, develop sales and marketing strategies, create a business plan with fiscal oversight. You will manage general operation of the department including staff development. This is a unique opportunity with responsibility for strategic growth, internal/ external communication, branding, sales, marketing , RFPs and managing contractual agreements. QUALIFICATIONS  

Bachelor’s degree in communications or closely related field 6+ years of tourism or closely related experience. Experience developing and maintaining annual budget.   Are you service oriented? WORK SCHEDULE  

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
