The City of Temple Will Be Hiring One of the Three Positions Listed Below:
Title: Sr. Project Engineer/Project Engineer/Project Manager 
Department:  Engineering
Work Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm
Salary: Dependent On Qualifications

Job Description:
Manage a large and dynamic workload of capital projects including water, sewer, streets, drainage, trails, landscaping, and rail. Administer professional services and construction contracts in accordance with City policies and procedures. Assist with capital project planning and budgeting. Recommend design consultants and negotiate professional services scoping and proposals. Assist in the land development review process as necessary.  Provide additional engineering support of Engineering Division activities. Familiarize with applicable rules, regulations and ordinances. Respond to citizen inquiries with diligence and courtesy. Coordinate with City employees and federal, state and county representatives as needed. 

Requirements: 
Project Manager
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction, or related field OR 4 years of experience in construction or project management. Two years civil project management and/or civil engineering experience preferred. Valid Texas class C driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. Punctuality and regular attendance are required. Microsoft Office. Skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications. Effective oral and written communication of technical information.

Project Engineer
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET). Four years of experience and a thorough knowledge of municipal engineering, public infrastructure, and project implementation. Must be registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Valid Texas class C driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. Punctuality and regular attendance are required. Microsoft Office. Skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications. Effective oral and written communication of technical information.

Sr. Project Engineer
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum accredited by ABET. Six years of experience and a thorough knowledge of municipal engineering, public infrastructure, and project implementation. Must be registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Valid Texas class C driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. Punctuality and regular attendance are required. Microsoft Office. Skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications. Effective oral and written communication of technical information.
