Description | Under limited supervision, this position performs professional engineering duties and is responsible for the initiation, preparation, overseeing and management of special engineering projects, the right-of-way acquisition effort, and other specialized departmental functions. Essential Job Functions: •Plans, organizes, staffs, and directs the daily activities of the development of plans and specifications for all Park, Public Safety, Information Technology, and General Services projects. •Supervises, evaluates, and disciplines division personnel. •Assists in preparing and monitoring the annual division budget. •Prepares reports; writes memoranda and correspondence. •Oversees the Right–of-Way acquisition efforts for all public projects. •Oversees the Retaining Wall Inspection Program. •Oversees the all aspects of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan as they relate to Right-of-Way; implementation of the plans and updates of the asset inventory. •Oversees and manages special projects including, but not be limited to, the Rose District or other specialized funding–source projects •Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, supplemented by three to five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma. |
