MPACT CDC is a new organization that has been formed by churches in the Southern Sector of Dallas to make a difference in the financial condition of the neighborhoods they serve.  The MPACT Board of Directors is looking for a consultant or executive director to help them accomplish their purpose of becoming a means through which the churches could help people improve their economic standing by bringing jobs, capital, training, and innovation to the Southern Sector. Having adopted a charter, established some broad goals, and raised initial funds from a number of churches, the MPACT Board of Directors is now ready to take the next step toward their mission.

The ideal leader is a highly relational individual who will provide collaborative leadership by forming, nurturing, and cultivating relationships within and outside the community. This individual will possess an understanding and appreciation for the Southern Sector/South Dallas County community as well as have technical expertise in the areas of real estate development; economic development; public, private and multi-tiered finance; strategic planning; and workforce development.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired as is experience in economic development; local, state, and federal government; and/or business management.  Consulting and/or entrepreneurial experience is also considered a plus.  Exceptional verbal communication skills, remarkable relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in helping people are imperative.
