The City of Temple is seeking a creative and customer-friendly leader with strong management skills to serve as its CVB Manager. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Manager plans, supervises, and directs the daily and long-range operation of the CVB, Convention Center, Visitor Center, and the Railroad & Heritage Museum. This position requires daily decision-making, ranging from routine to complex, and continuous, exceptional service to the public.

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, recreation, park & tourism sciences, hospitality & tourism management, or a related field. Three years of increasingly responsible experience in the management of civic-convention centers and experience in the hospitality industry are preferred qualifications. Extensive sales and management experience is a must.
