The City of Cedar Park is currently seeking qualified internal applications for the position of Utility Operator I/II to perform duties essential in operating and maintaining the City's Water Distribution system. The position is open to all current City employees. 

• Making water and sewer taps;
• Repairing water and sewer leaks;
• Installing clean outs;
• Performs chlorine tests on new lines;
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on water and sewer lines;
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses

High school graduation, or its equivalent, plus at least two years of experience in water or water distribution utility operations or construction;
 
or  any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License, or the ability to obtain within 90 days, with an acceptable driving record.
 
Must obtain a Class C Water Distribution License within two years of hire.

Supplemental Information

Qualified applicants whom already possess a Class C Water Distribution License  upon hire will be brought in as an Utility Operator II.

Hiring Ranges:
Utility Operator I: $15.84 - $19.33 per hour
Utility Operator II: $18.34 - $22.38 per hour
