Compensation: $16.47 per hour or higher DOQ.  Full time w/benefits; employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Employee Assistance Program & New Benefits; TMRS participation of 7% with a 2/1 match; paid vacation and sick days; longevity pay, and 10 paid holidays.
 

Description: Protects residents from and educates the community about stray or vicious animals and related diseases.  Responsible for the proper operations of the animal services facility. Captures, impounds and disposes of animals using humane methods.

Education: High School diploma or GED; minimum one year of paid experience related to animal care or control preferred; Basic certification from the Texas Department of Health as a Certified Animal Control Officer; Certification in animal euthanasia.

Additional Requirements: Valid Class C Texas driver license; must be able to pass drug screen, physical, & CCH background check.
