Plans, coordinates, directs, and manages operations of the City’s Planning
& Zoning Department; supervises the research, analysis, and design
of a comprehensive general plan for the physical development of
the City. Performs professional review of zoning and development applications,
administers the Comprehensive Plan, prepares special reports
and studies, enforces zoning and subdivision ordinances, and provides
staff support to elected and appointed boards and commissions. Must
have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university with major
coursework in city or regional planning, public administration, architecture,
landscape architecture, geography, engineering, or related fields.
Must have a minimum of three years of proven ability and experience in
planning and three years of supervisory experience; a Master’s degree
and ACIP is preferred but not required; OR an equivalent combination of
education and/or experience. Must posses a valid class driver license.

The salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. The City also provides pay for tenure up to $7,215 for ten years of service. City paid health and life insurance is provided for employee; the City requires 7% TMRS contribution by employees with a 2-1 city match; and other voluntary benefit plans are available.
