Duties include providing individual, family and group therapy to victims of violent crime – conducting diagnostic assessments that address emotional trauma and post-trauma symptoms, and offering psychotherapeutic interventions and trauma-focused counseling as appropriate; and maintaining case records. This grant-funded position is expected to continue for a minimum of two years. A Master’s degree or equivalent, with major course work in psychology, counseling or a related field and two years of directly related experience required; experience working with crime victims highly desirable. Bilingual (English / Spanish) translation skills are essential; must demonstrate complete mastery of oral skills in both English and Spanish. Bilingual skills testing will be required. Hours will include some evenings. A thorough background investigation, including a criminal history check, polygraph examination, and drug screen will be conducted. Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanors within the past ten (10) years; other convictions may also be considered.
