This position performs several job functions under the supervision of the Wastewater Superintendent and City Electrician.  Generally, this employee is responsible for electrical installation and repairs in all City-owned buildings, equipment, and traffic signals.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

   

• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in electrical operations.
• Must have knowledge of general electrical work in office buildings and residential.
• Knowledge of control panel troubleshooting.
• Experience with sewer lift stations equipment, water plant equipment and traffic signals, preferred.
• Ability to diagnose electrical problems in water plants, wastewater plants and traffic signals, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and office programs, preferred.

  Required Licenses or Certifications:

• Valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must have a valid State Journeyman Electrician’s license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing
