Duties include supervising assigned staff and volunteer groups, providing a high level of skill and knowledge in the set-up, operation and strike of audio systems in and around the Irving Arts Center; providing oversight of and assisting with the operation and maintenance of all audio related equipment and systems; offering assistance and instruction to user groups in proper and safe use of facility audio systems and related equipment; and generating various reports. Duties will require a high level of self-motivation and superior organizational skills; and typically will require working at heights of up to 80’ and lifting up to 75 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent and three years experience in theater or a related field, as well as one year supervisory or lead experience, required; some college or additional specialized training in theater arts beneficial. Must have a firm grasp of audio engineering skills, computer networking, DANTE, Yamaha audio control systems, intermediate knowledge of theatrical lighting, rigging / counterweight systems, basic carpentry and scenic construction. ETCP theatrical rigger or entertainment electrician certification preferred. Work schedule will vary, based on event schedules. Must be available to work as needed.
