Description

The City of Cedar Park is currently seeking Pool Managers to provide supervision and leadership over our aquatic facilities!
 

  • Supervises, trains, and assigns work to aquatic employees, ensures proper policies are followed, ensures work and safety standards are maintained, and work schedules are met;
  • Supervises the aquatic facility under direction from the Aquatics Specialist or Aquatics Manager;
  • Maintains records as required by the Parks and Recreation Department, City of Cedar Park, County, and State;
  • Assists or leads staff training sessions;
  • Maintains correct water chemistry and insures health standards where applicable;
  • Establishes and maintains positive public relations;
  • Receives admission fees and accounts for all money received;
  • Enforces facility rules and regulations;
  • Assist the Aquatics Specialist and Aquatics Manager in the planning, developing, scheduling, and promoting of all aquatic activities;
  • Makes decisions concerning park closing during adverse conditions, and fill in for other positions if needed, and
  • Performs other related duties that may be required.

Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses

Successful candidates will possess:

  • One (1) year of lifeguard experience;
  • Current certification in Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training or the ability to obtain certification;
  • Must be 16 years of age by December 1, 2020;
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; and
  • Other related tasks as assigned. 

One (1) year of aquatic facility management experience is preferred.
