Marshall is a progressive and growing village located in close proximity and lying just east of Wisconsin’s capital city of Madison. A community with a rich history and friendly people, Marshall is a special place because it combines small town living with the advantages of a nearby large metropolitan area with urban amenities that provides a great environment and culture to work, live, play and learn in. Home to Little America Amusement Park and Whistle Stop Campground. Salary $78,000-$88,000 DOQ plus excellent benefits. Village President and six Board Members elected on a non-partisan basis. $6M total budget including Sewer and Water Utilities, 21 FT  and 20+ seasonal and PT employees.  Future emphasis on economic development; public infrastructure planning and development; municipal facility study; comprehensive plan update; municipal energy collaborative initiatives and sound financial management.

 

Require Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with at least 5 years progressive municipal experience. Residency is encouraged. Desire a strong background in budget development/governmental accounting/finance; community development and planning; grant writing; tourism development/promotion   and the ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with the village board, staff and community members.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity; a strong work ethic (commitment to public service); open and positive communication skills and innovative leadership.
