The Quanah Economic Development Corporation is hiring for the position of EDC Director. This is a management level position exercising strategic and visionary thinking in economic development initiatives on behalf of the City of Quanah and the Quanah Economic Development Corporation. Facilitates sustainable economic growth and development in all aspects of the City's Economic Development programs pertaining to industrial, commercial and residential; business recruitment, business retention and expansion,m and incentive negotiations. Serves as the Director of the Quanah Economic Development Corporation and is responsible fore policy and program implementation along with day-to-day operations of the Corporation.

Job Duties include but not limited to:

• Meet with prospective companies interested in locating to Quanah
• Support various development related community stakeholders and assist in developing strong and close working relationships with same
• Meet with existing Quanah businesses for evaluation of labor force needs and expansion opportunities
• Develop long-range economic development plans and programs to meet needs of the community
• Serves as point of contact for the business and industrial community
• Serves as the City Liaison the the Quanah Chamber of Commerce** Full list of job duties available at the City of Quanah

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field
• Minimum: High School diploma with 4 years' work experience
• Criminal background check
• Controlled substance screening
• Possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record
