The Town of La Jara is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the new Town Manager, Chief Executive Officer responsible for directing various departments, programs, and operations of town government.

Qualification, Education, and Experience;

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or related field. Three years of experience in a governmental leadership position may be substituted for each year of college.

Three to five years of successful leadership in a senior position as an executive/administrator level in an organization with similar responsibilities, possessing a broad skill set appropriate to the breath of operations of municipal government. Local government experience in Colorado as a department head or greater is preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be familiar with Colorado Revised Statutes as pertaining to municipal government. Must be familiar with Human Recourses Management and best practices principle in personal management. Familiarization of Risk Management and current Heath Care responsibilities in the State of Colorado. Must be familiar with Project Management and Grant Administration.

Must show a demonstrated effort to ongoing professional development and either be now or become a member of CCCMA (Colorado City and County Managers Association) as well as ICMA (International City/County Managers Association). Salary will be commencerant with experience.
