The City of Webster, Texas, is located in Harris County and is part of the Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area. The City covers seven square miles and is home to 11,000 residents, with a daytime service population of over 150,000. Webster is conveniently located along Interstate 45, also known as the Gulf Freeway, just 25 miles from downtown Houston and 25 miles from Galveston Island.

Webster is a home-rule City which operates under the council-manager form of government.  The City has an annual budget of $44 million and 176 employees.  The City of Webster seeks an innovative and visionary servant leader to serve as its next Finance Director.

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a relevant field of study. A master’s degree and CPA, CGFO, or CPFO designations are preferred. Eligible candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance/budget administration, with some experience in local government required. Experience should include purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, utility billing and collection, fixed assets, and other such duties.  The salary range for this position is $128,808 to $149,379, depending on qualifications and experience.
