SGR seeks a Leadership Development & Training Manager who is excited about becoming a contributing member to our exceptional and diverse team.  SGR exists to help local governments become more successful by recruiting, assessing, and developing innovative, collaborative, authentic leaders. Primary services provided by SGR include executive recruitment, interim management, consulting, candidate and employee assessments, live and virtual training, executive coaching, executive team development, and governing body retreats. SGR is one of the largest local government executive search firms in the nation. SGR’s corporate headquarters is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro area in Keller, TX. SGR also has virtual offices in California, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and throughout Texas.


Under the direction of the President of Leadership Development & Training, the Leadership Development & Training Manager plays a key role in the Training business line by managing the development and maintenance of all live and virtual classes content/curriculum as well as the sale and delivery of all live and virtual training. Similarly, the Manager plays a key role in the Leadership Development business line by managing the sale and delivery of leadership development events, and in the Special Events business line by managing venues, vendors, and registration, along with overseeing the logistics and delivery of special events.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, on multiple projects, and who has strong organizational skills to serve as a quarterback for our Leadership Development Program. This person should possess the ability to listen to the needs of customers and provide expert insight on how SGR can meet those needs. General responsibilities include: drafting all contracts for new sales, general provision of customer service via phone and email, coordination of regular communications with all contract facilitators, content developers, and special events contractors, general data entry and management, and a continued review of opportunities for improvement within all business line processes. This person must embrace a fast-paced environment that evolves quickly, enjoy working within parameters/structure and be self-driven and proactive. must have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers from a variety of backgrounds, and they must demonstrate a passion for excellence in all that they do. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are a must. SGR operates in an atmosphere of rapid change and the ideal candidate must embrace and thrive in a very dynamic environment.

The chosen candidate must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of experience after graduation. Competency in Adobe Creative Suite and MailChimp, as well as proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Survey Monkey, and Zapier, is required. Expertise in the use of Trello, Skype, Google Chat/Meet, JoinMe, 8X8, EventBrite, and Zoom Meeting + Webinar is highly desired.
