Receives incoming calls for police and non-emergency assistance and enters the necessary information into the CAD computer; performs a variety of general support duties related to dispatch activities including, record keeping, typing, and filing; monitors teletype communications.  Must complete the licensing academy and pass the TCOLE test. Must complete all other training for licensing and the associated tests as assigned.  Typing test through the Workforce Solutions Office or online (only if Workforce Solutions is not available). Applicants who have taken a typing test within one (1) year of application date may attach the results to their online application.  Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to attain this knowledge and abilities would be through some experience in public relations. A high school graduate or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.  Be completely free of alcohol or drug habits.
