The Utility Billing Clerk provides courteous and professional customer service. This is accomplished by ensuring the efficient handling of billing, cash receipts, clerical support, and customer relations while complying with the policies, procedures, goals, and objectives of the City, department, and division. Other duties include interpreting for other departments, providing curbside assistance for physically challenged customers, assisting other departments with obtaining needed information and processing accounts receivable for the police department and humane officer.  
 
This position is subject to the City of Portland’s Background Investigation and Drug Testing Policy.  New hires are required to provide proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States per Federal law.
