Description | The Water Services Manager - Wastewater Treatment manages all activities related to the operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facilities to ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and efficiency standards are met. This role also manages activities associated with planning, budget, development, coordination, and implementation of the division's strategic plans. Applicants must submit a cover letter & resume.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, License, and Experience Guidelines High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Class “B” Wastewater Treatment Operator license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality with the ability to obtain a Class “A” license within 2 years of employment. Eight (8) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in a related field OR Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job will be considered. Preferred License and Experience: Class “A” Wastewater Treatment Operator license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Eight (8) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in municipal wastewater treatment operations. With three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role requiring a high level of management and leadership skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, crouching, bending, vision, hearing, talking, use of foot controls. May be directly involved with the following extremes: temperature, physical and respiratory hazards from chemicals, slips and falls, noise from equipment machinery, and contact with body fluids.
