Maintain city streets free of stray, injured and dead animals while ensuring the highest level of care for the animals from capture to adoption.  Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.  Clean and perform minor maintenance of the Pet Adoption Center and its associated structures.  Weekend work is required. Does related work as required.  Duty hours and assignments are set by the Animal Protection Officer/Lead Supervisor and Pet Adoption Center Manager.  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.  Ability to obtain certification by the Texas Department of Health as a certified basic Animal Control Officer within one year of employment.  Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid Texas drivers license.
